Let’s set things straight from the start: we’re no professional breeders.
We don’t have an ENCI-certified affix yet, and even then, breeding Dalmatians will never be our job or main source of income.
We run a different business we love just as much, one which fortunately allows us to invest in our passion for Dalmatians.
What we’re trying to do then is give our small contribution to this breed, first of all selecting healthy, friendly family dogs, and secondly raising some fine dogs that can hold their own in beauty contests.
That’s why we aim at quality over quantity, planning our litters on a 2/3 years basis. Our stud dogs and brood bitches will have to pass the BAER test (audiometric test, essential for Dalmatians), the hip & elbow dysplasia tests, and of course hold a clean bill of health. Moreover we will only mate dogs with a nice temperament. Puppies will also be tested for audiometry and vaccinated twice before joining their new families.
Special care (as we did with our first litter) will be placed in the socializing phase of puppies, who will meet as many people and dogs as possible and will be gradually trained to leash and collar and - weather permitting - to do their nature calls in the open.
Dalmatians are active dogs, lively, happy, sociable and never fearful, and we’ll do our best so that our breeding maintains such qualities.
